Functional Patterns® Practitioner · HBS Level IV · B.S. Kinesiology · 15+ Years Experience

Benjamin Merworth is the founder of Kinetic Blueprint and a biomechanics specialist with over 15 years of experience helping people move better, build resilient strength, and eliminate chronic pain. His work focuses on how the human body is designed to function — not just how to exercise — using a systems-based approach grounded in posture, gait, and real-world movement.

Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is trained in the Functional Patterns methodology, a performance framework centered on human biomechanics, physics, and long-term structural integrity. He currently holds the most advanced certification level, as a Human Biomechanics Specialist Level IV.

“I stopped training habitually and started training intentionally—around how the human body is actually designed to function.”

From Traditional Training to Biomechanics

Like many in the fitness industry, Benjamin began his career immersed in conventional strength and conditioning. Despite advanced education and years of hands-on experience, he repeatedly saw the same pattern: people getting stronger on paper, yet continuing to deal with pain, compensations, and recurring injuries.

That disconnect led him to question the foundation of modern fitness.

Through deeper study of biomechanics, gait mechanics, connective tissue behavior, and nervous system regulation, Benjamin shifted away from symptom-based training and toward a root-cause model of human movement. This transition not only transformed his own physical resilience, but reshaped how he works with every client.

“It wasn’t until I questioned conventional training that my body began to respond the way it was designed to.”

A Different Standard of Training

Benjamin’s approach prioritizes intentional movement over habitual exercise. Rather than chasing volume, fatigue, or aesthetics, sessions are designed to improve how force moves through the body — from how you stand and walk, to how you generate strength, rotate, and absorb impact.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Postural organization and joint alignment

  • Gait cycle mechanics and load transfer

  • Core integration and connective tissue health

  • Strength that translates to daily life and sport

This method is especially effective for individuals who have “tried everything” — from physical therapy to traditional personal training — without lasting results.

Benjamin works with a wide range of clients, including:

  • Active adults dealing with chronic pain or recurring injuries

  • Athletes seeking performance without breakdown

  • Professionals who sit, travel, or train inconsistently

  • Parents looking to rebuild strength sustainably

  • Individuals with complex or long-standing movement limitations

His work is known for addressing more complex cases that require a deeper understanding of biomechanics rather than surface-level programming.

how this shows up in practice

Clients working with Benjamin can expect a highly individualized process. Training begins with understanding how you move now, identifying inefficiencies, and rebuilding movement patterns that support longevity, performance, and resilience.

Rather than short-term fixes, the goal is to create strength and capacity that carries into:

  • Walking and running

  • Lifting and athletic movement

  • Daily tasks and long workdays

  • Long-term joint and tissue health

“This isn’t about fixing pain for today—it’s about building a body that can handle life for decades.”

why this matters

Strength without structure breaks down over time. Benjamin’s work is built around a simple but often overlooked principle: how you move determines how long you can keep moving well.

At Kinetic Blueprint, training is not about doing more —
it’s about doing what matters, with precision and intent.
